You may randomly have this problem. You go to load a website in IE11 only to be greeted with a TLS error – enable TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2. You check your IE settings and they are enabled. Now what? This is a rare issue that sometimes occurs with IE on Windows desktops and Windows servers.

Generally, if TLS is enabled, you need to reset IE. Here’s how to do that.

In IE, go to Internet options

Go to the Advanced tab and then go to Reset Internet Explorer Settings and click the reset button.

Note: In order to reset, all other windows need to be closed. Also tick the check box to delete personal settings. Restart the machine and you should be all set!

Ahh, good old IE.
